PROCUREMENT PRACTICE
Kitchen fronts: what to agree
Appearance is one part of the choice. Substrate, edges, hardware and care should be discussed together.

Substrate and surface
Clarify whether the offer is solid wood, veneer, painted board, film, laminate or another finish. Request substrate identification and a sample of the selected finish.
Edges and junctions
Agree edge treatment, joints near the sink and appliances, handles, hinges and maintenance access. Check moisture and temperature limits in the selected product documentation.
Sample and schedule
Record the sample colour and sheen, each front’s dimensions, pattern direction and hardware set. Use catalogue images as discussion references.
