PROCUREMENT PRACTICE
Lighting: from scenarios to an item list
Begin with how the room is used: relaxing, working, cooking or entertaining.

Separate the tasks
Describe general, task and accent lighting separately. Mark reading areas, work surfaces and objects to highlight.
Clarify installation
Check ceiling height, power points, mounting substrate, driver position and maintenance access. Agree controls and equipment compatibility with the specialist.
Record specifications
Request dimensions, power, luminous flux, colour temperature, operating conditions and series documentation. Final layout and lighting calculations are made for the actual room.
Based on topics in the SUNRISE 2014 editorial archive, reworked for DINA BUILD. Historical prices and commercial promises are not carried over.
