Road → Rail: from factory to rail shipment
Road collection from suppliers, departure from an agreed rail terminal and final delivery from the station.

Factories → road → consolidation → rail → station delivery
Building one shipment
Furniture, lighting and finishes may be ready on different dates. Plan arrivals and decide whether to wait for the whole order or split it. Confirm packed dimensions, stacking limits and cargo compatibility before booking.
Container or consolidated cargo
A small lot can share a shipment; a larger one may justify a dedicated container. For 20 GP, 40 GP or 40 HC, consider weight, door opening, packing and securing as well as volume. Nominal container volume is not the usable furniture capacity.
Plan the final leg too
Station release, a delivery vehicle, unloading and an acceptance slot are still required. Check access to the house or hotel. Lifting, carrying indoors, assembly and installation must be included explicitly rather than assumed.
